April

I'm terribly sorry to those of you that actually follow my blog with any regularity for my lack of posting in April. I feel like there hasn't really been much to write about, but looking back, there is ALWAYS something to write about!

Madeline has mastered rolling. She goes from one side of the room to another, and fairly quickly I might add! She is also quite good at pushing herself onto her hands and knees. I don't think it will be too much longer before she starts crawling. She doesn't have any teeth yet. She still chews on stuff but not quite as viciously as before.

Madeline seems to be allergic to disposable diapers. Or at least sensitive to them. I was changing her very frequently, but her butt felt like leather because the skin was so red and dry and chapped at one point. I put her in the cloth diapers (FuzziBunz are the best!) for 24 hours and it cleared right up! I just bought a new set of mediums because she has outgrown the smalls. I also have a set of Indian pre-folds with covers. (I shop at Jillian's Drawer's for this kind of stuff. VERY nice people!)

I find it adorable how literal Madeline's movements are right now. For example, when I am holding her and she wants to look at her toes, instead of just glancing down she'll fold her whole body in half in order to get a really close look.

A couple of weeks ago we went to Winter Garden to visit John's family. A few of them had not yet met Madeline! We stuck our feet in the pool, and visited the Winter Garden Florida Garden Festival. John bought me 2 soy-wax candles and 2 African Violets.
Madeline enjoyed riding around in her stroller and watching all the people. We got some adorable pictures of her when we sat by the fountain and had ice cream.
