A personal problem.

I have a problem. After Maddie was born I wrote about the issue of.. uh.. dribbling. You know, peeing when I sneeze and what not. I was told that Kegel exercises would help the problem if not eliminate it completely.

At this point I feel like I could practically bench press 300lbs with my womanly parts. And yet I still pee. It only seems to be getting worse now that the baby in my belly is getting bigger. I have to cross my legs when I sneeze and (I am embarrassed to admit this) I have to hold myself like a little kid when I run to the bathroom with an extra full bladder. Today I was walking around the kitchen and coughed a couple of times and it was so bad that I actually had to go change my pants and underwear. Seriously??

Why is this happening? Am I doing Kegel's wrong? Did something important really break when I gave birth to Maddie? Am I destined for Depends?

I would think that yes, pg is making it worse, but I would think it should've gotten better before.
Definitely need to talk to the ob/gyn at your next visit!

If you find the answer let me know...it probably gets worse during pregnancy but I have this problem also. About 9 times out of 10 after I sneeze I must go change my undergarments...oh yes. I went to the Dr after I had Ethan (8 yrs ago) and he said "kegel" and than I even went back to see if I was doing them correctly and I used this machine that...it gets personal here...you stick up there and it has this wire attached and you squeeze and it will tell you if you are squeezing correctly...like you have to get the bar to 10 and that means you are doing it right and all that. I was doing it correctly and they said something about if some thing was wrong they have surgery..blah, blah, blah...I will just pee my pants. :) And hopefully they will come up with something cooler and prettier than Depends by the time I get there.

this is definitely a question that Ruth is much better equipped to answer than I am :)

Baby sitting on the bladder does it everytime!!

Good news is that it will get better after delivery (except when they convince you to jump on the trampoline)

I would ask your ob/gyn since it never stopped after having Maddie. And now it is getting worse with baby boy. Do we have names picked out for baby boy?
