Aww..

I asked John to put his ear to my belly this evening, to see if he could actually hear the baby's heart beat.

He put his ear way up high and said "All I hear is fluid gushing around". I told him he was probably up too high and was listening to her butt. I had him put his ear much lower, under and to the left of my belly button. That is where her back and shoulders are.

John came up with a smile on his face and said he could hear her little heart beat! I asked him what it sounded like and he said "Bip-bip-bip-bip-bip." I have a little listening device that I can hear her heartbeat with but told John how neat I thought it was that he could hear it with his own ears. I said it wasn't fair.

His response to me was "Ya but you get to grow a life inside of you." I suppose I'm the lucky one after all. :)
